3G Indoor & Outdoor Pitches. 3G stands for ‘Third Generation’ and it is an artificial playing surface that mimics natural grass. The surface is effectively a carpet-like surface with pile (artificial blades of grass) supported by a layer of sand and an infill of rubber crumb. Great for boosting your fitness levels, 5-a-side football is played on much smaller pitches than traditional 11-a-side matches, with much smaller goals as well. There are two pitches available at the Centre Indoor or Outdoor please ensure you have selected the correct pitch.
